A Jaipur-based company named Docoss has announced an entry-level smartphone at a price tag as low as Rs. 888. As per the company, deliveries of the Docoss X1 will begin from May 2, while pre-bookings close on Friday. This takes us back to the buzz the smartphone segment saw in February when Ringing Bells launched its Freedom 251 smartphone at just Rs. 251. The smartphone made headlines for a few weeks, and caught attention of the entire world. Freedom 251 from Noida-based start-up Ringing Bells however soon lost its sheen. The smartphone was surrounded by controversies that even lead to an FIR registered against the makers. The biggest highlight of the smartphone was its pricing rather than any specifications under the hood. The company received close to 60 million registrations in few days but after taking initial bookings for the handset, the Freedom 251 makers announced pre-booking money to be refunded to users and also confirmed that it would take cash on delivery, upon delivery. The first orders will supposedly be delivered in June. Docoss X1 smartphone was launched in April 2016. The phone comes with a 4.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 400 pixels by 480 pixels The Docoss X1 is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core and it comes with 1GB of RAM. The phone packs 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Docoss X1 packs a 2-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Docoss X1 runs Android 4.4.2 and is powered by a 1300mAh removable battery. It measures 122.20 x 64.40 x 9.30 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 102.00 grams. The Docoss X1 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two Regular SIMs. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer. Most Polaroid cameras have fully automatic exposure systems, with an electronic eye to determine correct exposure. Quality can range from extremely good, as in the Pathfinder or SX -70 cameras, to extremely poor, as in the Joycam. Despite its history of innovation, the company entered the digital photography market very late in the game, and as a result has neither a significant market share nor significant innovation in this area. Professional applications of the Polaroid instant film and cameras were as screen-shot cameras for scientific instruments, passport / identity photos, or large format cameras of other manufacturers equipped with Polaroid sheet film holders or pack film backs. Polaroid shots were often used to test studio lighting setups before use of other types of film or camera, before the instant playback of digital cameras became available.
