Transsion Holdings has announced its entry in the Indian market with its mobile brand itel. The company will roll out its India operations in two phases. The first phase will include north Indian states and the second phase, north west region.

itel mobile will offer feature phones, smartphones and mobile accessories. The feature phones will come in 3 series – SmartSelfie, SmartPower and Shine. The first six feature phones that the company plans to launch are SmartSelfie it2180, SmartPower it5600, SmartSelfie it5231, PowerPro it1410, Wish it1508 and its flagship SelfiePro it1511.
itel will set up manufacturing units in India to contribute to the Make in India scheme. It will open 1,000 service centers across India. “After-sales service, unfortunately, is something that has flown under the radar of many brands currently operating in the Indian mobile devices industry.
itel from Transsion Holdings has introduced King Voice, a text to speech interpreter app. It is compatible with itel it5231 and it5320 smartphones that come with smart keypad.
King Voice can be activated via shortcut keypad commands. King Voice announces incoming messages, and even reads out the mobile address book.
