How to reset Administrator password in Windows 7?

In this article I am gona show you how to rest windows 7 administrator password without any software.
You can change Windows 7 administrator password without using any software.

Requirements:
1. PC
2. Bootable Disc/Bootable Pendrive of Windows 7 OS(Operating System)

How to reset administrator password of windows 7?

Boot from bootable device (DVD/Pendrive) of WIN 7.

Click on Next

Click Repair your Computer

Click Next

Select Command Prompt

Type
C:\ – It will enter into C drive.
Then type
cd windows\system32\

Here we use sticky key function to reset password.
Execution file for sticky key is stored in system32 named as “sethc.exe”
Changed the name from “sethc.exe” to “sethc_bak.exe”
Type ren sethc.exe sethc_bak.exe
And change the name of “cmd.exe” to “sethc.exe”
Type ren cmd.exe sethc.exe

Restart the computer and start system normally.
After restarting press shift key continuously for 5 times to invoke command prompt.

Type command
net user Administrator <type your password> and press enter key.

Login with your new password.
Done!
